When prohibition ended, steel barrels enjoyed a brief popularity with brewers looking to move away from wood. Requiring less maintenance and labor than traditional cooperage, they pretty much disappeared after WWII.

A bit rough but not an easy barrel to find.

This one of a kind piece was commissioned to commemorate the return of West Bend Lithia beer. Deaccessioned from the Department of The Interior's, National Park Service, it is now available to the general public. You can be assured that you will own the only known example. Unless another one turns up. For an additional fee, I can arrange to have this signed by Jeff Szukalski, an authorized distributor.
