Schall 542. To me, it looks like a soldier slinging his rifle over his shoulder. Or it's just some guy scratching his back.

I know the ship has sailed on Victorian art glass, but I'm still a sucker for a nice piece when I see it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was a chip in the foot until I got it back to the auction hall.

I would imagine this was cover art somewhere, but a Google search didn't pull it up. Signed about 1/3 of the way up on the left, but I was unable to identify the signature. 20 x 23 on illustration board.

One of the better examples I've seen for quite a while. It does have a few minor flaws, but nothing I couldn't live with. 21 x 10 x 19.

Having had both hips replaced in the last few years, I resisted the urge to give these a go.
